Update (5:04 PM)-
Interesting note from Cardinals PR: When J.A. Happ and three relievers combined on a one-hitter last night, it marked the first time the Cardinals held the Pirates to one hit or less in a game in Pittsburgh since Bob Gibson’s no-hitter in 1971 at Three Rivers Stadium.

Update (8:51 AM)-
**History was made last night in MLB and it’s a sign of baseball in 2021.
The longest start in the majors today was 6.0 innings.
This is the first time in MLB history that every team was in action on a given day and no starter pitched more than 6.0 innings.

In case you missed it, here’s the Pittsburgh Baseball Now mission statement. We’re excited to be here talking Bucco baseball with you all.
Your Pittsburgh Pirates continue their brief three-game homestand against the St. Louis Cardinals before hitting the road again to face the Brew Crew in Milwaukee.
Game two against the hated Cardinals will feature Wil Crowe (Pirates) and the 2,457,589-year-old Adam Wainwright. (I may be off a year or two.) The Pirates have a 41-72 record, while the Cardinals are exactly .500 at 56-56. First pitch is 7:05. You can listen on 93.7 The Fan or watch on AT&T Sportsnet.
The Gamblin’ Man
For any of you that enjoy gambling, your Pirates are +148 underdogs with an over/under of 9. (If it were me, I’d take the over, but I’m not much of a gambler).
BUT THAT WEATHER THO!
Thanks to the handy dandy weather app, we will see a chance of rain all the way up until 5 PM. By game time, it should be around 86 degrees and should have clear skies for potential cannonballs.
