Poll: Who Should The Pirates Take With the No. 1 Pick in the 2023 MLB Draft?

Pittsburgh Pirates, Dylan Crews, MLB Draft

We’ve laid out the choices and stumped for who we think the Pittsburgh Pirates should draft with the No. 1 selection in the 2023 MLB Draft.

Coming off of winning the College World Series, two LSU Tigers are squarely in the mix for the Pirates at the top of the draft.

Dylan Crews – The dynamic LSU outfielder with a National Championship, a Golden Spike award and a 75-game on base streak.

Paul Skenes – The flamethrowing LSU pitcher with upper-90s velocity and a six-foot-six frame.

Max Clark – Indiana high schooler recently connected to the Pirates according to Jason Mackey.

These two Tigers are widely projected to be the top two picks in this year’s entry draft. The only question is which will go first.

Who would you like to see the Pirates pick?

Do you have any worry about the Pirates ability to sign Dylan Crews? And does that affect your opinion? Leave your thoughts in the comments!

The 2023 MLB Draft will take place July 9–11, 2023, in Seattle.
