The Pittsburgh Pirates have tendered contracts to all five of their arbitration-eligible players and all 31 pre-arbitration players.

Those players eligible for arbitration are listed below:

CF Oneil Cruz

Cruz led the National League with 38 steals and paced the Pirates with 20 home runs but slashed just .200/.298/.378 in his first season as a full-time center fielder.

RHP Dennis Santana

Santana took over as closer after the Pirates traded David Bednar to the Yankees at the trade deadline. The right-hander made a career-high 70 appearances and had a 2.18 ERA with 16 saves.

C Joey Bart

Bart’s power disappeared but he hit a respectable .249 with a .355 on-base percentage. After slugging a career-high 13 home runs with the Pirates in 2024, he only hit four in 93 games this past season.

RHP Johan Oviedo

Oviedo returned to the mound after missing the 2024 season due to Tommy John surgery. The 27-year-old looked good in nine starts and went 2-1 with a 3.57 ERA.

RHP Justin Lawrence

An elbow injury limited Lawrence to 17 appearances in his first season with the Pirates but he was good when healthy. He allowed just one run on nine hits and struck out 23 in 17.2 innings.

Previous Agreements

The Pirates avoided arbitration with outfielder Jack Suwinski ($1.25 million) and right-handed pitcher Yohan Ramírez ($825,000).

Non-Tenders

Additionally, the Pirates non-tendered outfielders Alexander Canario and Ronny Simon and right-handers Colin Holderman and Dauri Moreta. All four players were designated for assignment on Tuesday.
