The Pittsburgh Pirates have announced that they have activated LHP Rob Zastryzny from the 15-Day IL. In response the Pirates have DFAd OF/INF Miguel Andujar.

The Pirates 40-man currently stands at 39.

Zastryzny has made one appearance for the Pirates Triple-A team in Indianapolis and pitched one inning, giving up one hit, no earned runs, one walk, and one strikeout.

Andujar, since being called up by the Pirates on April 29, has slashed .161/.212/.387 with an OPS of .599. In addition, Andujar drove in six runs with two homers and one double.

With Andujar’s contract situation, it would appear that he clears waivers, but that process has not finished yet. We will update you when that news comes to the surface right here at Pittsburgh Baseball Now.
