The Triple-A Indianapolis Indians won their fourth straight game with a 6-4 victory over the St. Paul Saints on Thursday night.

The Indians received contributions at the plate from a number of players, including Endy Rodriguez, who continued his hot start since being promoted from Double-A Altoona.

Rodriguez, of course, is emerging as one of the Pittsburgh Pirates’ better prospects. He’s inching closer to reaching the big leagues.

Here are the top performers from the Indians’ win:

Indianapolis Indians (74-70)

RF Jared Oliva

  • Game:  2 for 3 with two doubles, two runs, a walk and a steal
  • Season: .268/.325/.435, 21 doubles, three triples, eight home runs, 37 RBIs, 20 steals, 95 games

C Endy Rodriguez

  • Game: 1 for 4 with a triple and two RBIs
  • Season: .545/.500/.909, two doubles, one triple, seven RBIs, three games

Oliva has been on fire in September and that continued Wednesday. After recording a pair of doubles, the outfielder is slashing .375/.429/578 in 13 games this month.

Rodriguez’s first triple with Indianapolis was his sixth hit in three games since his promotion. His two RBIs give him seven with the Indians.

Hoy Park was on base three times, two of which were hits, and he drove in a run and scored once.

Mason Martin hit his 18th home run of the season, a solo shot in the sixth inning.
