Bryan Reynolds Named Silver Slugger Finalist
For the second straight year, Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Bryan Reynolds has been named a Silver Slugger Finalist in the National League.
This year, Reynolds is joined by outfielders Mookie Betts (Dodgers), Kyle Schwarber (Phillies), Juan Soto (Padres), Starling Marte (Mets), Joc Pederson (Giants), Michael Harris II (Braves), Hunter Renfroe (Brewers) and Brandon Nimmo (Mets).
Reynolds was the Pirates’ most consistent position player over the 162-game season this year, though he didn’t have as strong a season as he did in 2021.
In 145 games, Reynolds slashed .262/.345/.461 with a career-high 27 home runs and 62 runs driven in while collecting a career-high seven steals.
With such steep competition for the award, it does not appear likely that the 27-year-old will take home the honor when the winners are announced.
