Pittsburgh Pirates Announce 2022 Spring Training Schedule



It may only be August but the Pirates have released their 2022 Spring Training schedule.

The spring training slate will consist of 34 games, 17 at LECOM Park in Bradenton.

The Pirates’ first game of the spring will be on February 26 at home vs. the Tampa Bay Rays.

For the first time since 2001, the Pirates have the New York Mets on their spring schedule with that game being played on March 15. The team will also be active on St. Patrick’s Day in a matchup with the Minnesota Twins in Bradenton.

The Pirates final game will come on March 29 vs. the Twins before hosting the St. Louis Cardinals at PNC Park on Opening Day.
