UPDATE: According to Alex Stumpf, the Pirates will keep Mike Rabelo as the fielding coordinator and bring Haddad on as a “Game Planning and Strategies Coach.”

According to Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette the Pirates intend to hire Radley Haddad as their fielding coordinator.

Haddad will replace the current Pirate third-base coach Mike Rabelo in the fielding coordinator role. Over the past five years, Haddad was in the Yankees organization filling numerous roles, including the bullpen catcher.

If the name Haddad sounds familiar to you minor league fans, he played four years in the Yankees organization as a catcher. He only appeared in 93 plate appearances and made it as high as Double-A.
