For the second straight night, the Altoona Curve won on a walk-off. The man responsible for the game-ender on Thursday was Malcom Nunez, who blasted a three-run shot to left field.

A number of players in Altoona’s lineup delivered strong performances, and a pair of Pirates’ pitching prospects delivered solid starts. Here are some of the top performers.

Indianapolis Indians

C Carter Bins

  • Game: 2 for 4 with a double
  • Season: .204/.290/.392, 12 doubles, one triple, seven home runs, 23 RBIs, 53 games

LHP Cam Alldred

  • Game: 2.0 innings, two hits, no runs, no walks, four strikeouts
  • Season: 2-3, 2.59 ERA, 48.2 innings, 44 hits, 15 walks, 42 strikeouts, 32 games/two starts

Bins led the Indians with a pair of hits. Indianapolis couldn’t muster much else at the plate in its 3-0 loss to the Iowa Cubs. Alldred tossed a pair of strong innings in relief and had his second-highest strikeout total on the year.

Altoona Curve

C Endy Rodriguez

  • Game: 3 for 5 with a double, an RBI and a run
  • Season: .357/.438/.643, two doubles, two home runs, five RBIs, seven games

3B Jared Triolo

  • Game: 2 for 4 with a home run, an RBI, three runs and a walk
  • Season: .277/.370/.404, 18 doubles, four triples, eight home runs, 37 RBIs, 23 steals, 104 games

Nunez’s walk-off home run in the ninth was his second with the Curve since being acquired from the Cardinals on Aug. 1. The blast lifted Altoona to an 8-5 win over the Harrisburg Senators.

Rodriguez collected three more hits, giving him at least one hit in all seven games in Double-A since his promotion. Like Triolo, Matt Fraizer collected a pair of hits and a home run.

Greensboro Grasshoppers

RHP Nick Garcia

  • Game: 6.0 innings, three hits, one run, three walks, three strikeouts
  • Season: 3-4, 4.20 ERA, 94.1 innings, 80 strikeouts, 37 walks, 89 strikeouts, 22 games/20 starts

OF Hudson Head

  • Game: 2 for 3 with a run and a walk
  • Season: .234/.340/.386, 16 doubles, one triple, 10 home runs, 38 RBIs, 10 steals, 93 games

Backed by Garcia’s strong start, the Grasshoppers beat the Rome Braves 3-1. Head collected a pair of hits.

Matt Eckelman and Cristian Charle combined for three scoreless innings of relief, the latter picking up his first save of the season.

Bradenton Marauders

LHP Luis Peralta

  • Game: 5.0 innings, one hit, no runs, one walk, nine strikeouts
  • Season: 0-5, 5.82 ERA, 51 innings, 48 hits, 33 walks, 86 strikeouts, 16 games/15 starts

INF Tsung-Che Cheng

  • Game: 2 for 4 with a double, a run and a walk
  • Season: .270/.365/.420, 21 doubles, six triples, five home runs, 42 RBIs, 24 steals, 85 games

The Marauders wasted a terrific start from Peralta in their 6-5 extra-innings loss to the Tampa Tarpons. It seems like Cheng is in most of these updates, but the infielder just keeps hitting. Tanner Treadaway drove in three runs in the loss.
