Pirates Prospect Watch: Matt Gorski Leads Altoona with Three Hits, Three RBIs

Results of the Pittsburgh Pirates’ farm clubs on Saturday:



TRIPLE-A INDIANAPOLIS (27-28): Defeated Toledo 10-7. Osvaldo Bido (3-3) was the starter and winner, pitching seven innings and allowing two runs and five hits with seven strikeouts and no walks. First baseman Miguel Andujar went 4 for 5 with a double. Left fielder Cal Mitchell had two hits, including a double. Shortstop Jared Triolo had three RBIs. Catcher Endy Rodriguez had two RBIs.

DOUBLE-A ALTOONA (26-22): Defeated Binghamton 10-3. Sean Sullivan (2-0) was the starter and winner, pitching five innings and allowing seven hits with four strikeouts and no walks. Right fielder Matt Gorski went 3 for 4 with three RBIs. Second baseman Andres Alvarez had three hits, including two doubles. First baseman Jacob Gonzalez hit his fourth home run and had two hits and three RBIs. Catcher Henry Davis had two hits, including a double. Shortstop Liover Peguero had two hits. Designated hitter Mason Martin hit his 10th home run.

HIGH-A GREENSBORO (25-23): Lost to Winston-Salem, 2-0 in a game shortened to six innings because of rain. Braxton Ashcraft (0-2) was the starter and loser, pitching three innings and allowing two runs (one earned) and four hits with three strikeouts and no walks. Shortstop Tsung-Che Chung had two hits, including a double.

LOW-A BRADENTON (26-25): Defeated Tampa 6-5. Darvin Garcia (2-1) got the win, allowing one run in two innings. Yunior Thibo notched his fourth save while allowing one run in two innings. Right fielder Rodolfo Nolasco hit a two-run home run, his fourth. Left fielder Tanner Treadway had two RBIs.
