Pirates Preview: Josh Fleming Gets Start Opposite Bryse Wilson
The Pittsburgh Pirates earned their second-straight victory over the Milwaukee Brewers by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday night at PNC Park.
Bailey Falter turned in another excellent start for the Pirates (13-11) and Andrew McCutchen led off the bottom of the first with a home run for the second-straight game.
After getting swept in back-to-back series leading up to this four-game set, the Pirates have a chance to get a series win over the Brewers (14-8) on Wednesday night.
Wednesday’s first pitch is the usual 6:40 ET start and the game will be aired on SportsNet Pittsburgh.

The Pittsburgh Pirates Will Send Out LHP Josh Fleming (1-0, 1.74 ERA)
Fleming will make his first start with the Pirates after 10 appearances out of the bullpen to begin the season.
The left-hander has fared well during the early portion of the season and has excelled at inducing weak contact and generating ground balls.
Fleming has experience as a starter during his time with the Tampa Bay Rays. 22 of his 55 appearances with his former team came as a starting pitcher. As a starter, Fleming is 8-8 with a 6.10 ERA.
The Brewers are one of seven teams Fleming has yet to face in his career.
The Milwaukee Brewers Will Send Out RHP Bryse Wilson (2-0, 3.29 ERA)
Wilson will get a chance to face his former team. The right-hander pitcher for the Pirates from 2021-22 and went 4-13 with a 5.37 ERA in the black and gold.
Since joining the Brewers, Wilson has served primarily as a reliever but made one start on Apr. 17 against the San Diego Padres.
Wilson has found success since joining the Brewers and has gone a perfect 8-0 with a 2.69 ERA in 60 appearances. However, he has been susceptible to the long ball this year with three surrendered in 13.2 innings.
Against the Pirates, Wilson has a 2-0 record with a 2.40 ERA in five appearances/two starts.
