Gonzales pitched five innings and Ke’Bryan Hayes went 2 for 4 with an RBI and a run scored in the win.
The Pirates (46-48) will look to make it three wins in a row when they take on the White Sox (27-69) on Saturday afternoon.

The Pittsburgh Pirates Will Send Out RHP Luis Ortiz (4-2, 2.95 ERA)

In his last start, the right-hander blanked the New York Mets on four hits and struck out five batters.
In two starts this year, Ortiz has only allowed one run across 12 innings pitched and has struck out 12.
This will be his first first time facing the White Sox.

Opponents are hitting a healthy .261 against Flexen and he’s already allowed 16 homers in 91 innings pitched.
