Pirates Postgame: Suwinksi’s Big Inning Not Enough, Bednar Blows The Save

It was another big day for the Young Bucs offense today. Diego Castillo and Jack Suwinski each had big HR’s while Bligh Madris had his 2nd three hit game in his early debut. Let’s also not forget the highlight play Suwinski made to also rob a homer.

Though the Pirates offense showed some life today, the pitching just didn’t get it done. JT Brubaker did give another quality start and now owns an ERA of 4.14. It would’ve been enough to keep this team in the lead and in line for the win, though David Bednar looked unusually off today and gave up 2 earned in the 9th to end the game.
