The Pittsburgh Pirates’ Opening Day roster is starting to become clearer after another round of roster moves.

The Pirates optioned right-hander Yerry De Los Santos to Triple-A Indianapolis and have reassigned catcher Tyler Heineman to Indianapolis’ roster.

De Los Santos was in the running to land a bullpen spot but it looks like that spot might go to NRI left-hander Rob Zastryzny. De Los Santos with a 4.50 ERA in eight appearances.

Heineman, meanwhile, was a canddiate to serve as Austin Hedges’ backup catcher, but that will now be Jason Delay. Heineman wasn’t able to find his groove at the plate this spring, finishing with three hits in 22 at-bats across 11 games.

Additionaly, the Pirates released catcher Kevin Plawecki from his minor league contract. There are now 29 players left in big league camp.
