Pirates Announce Award Schedule for Minor League Affiliates

Monday afternoon, the Pittsburgh Pirates announced that their minor league awards will be handed out over the course of a three-day event. The Pirates’ minor league affiliates combined for a 264-220 record, making them the best in the national league and fifth overall in the majors. Below is the award schedule and what awards will be handed out that day.

• Willie Stargell Slugger-of-the-Year
• Kent Tekulve Reliever-of-the-Year

• Omar Moreno Baserunner-of-the-Year

Thursday, October 28th

• Honus Wagner Player-of-the-Year
• Bob Friend Pitcher-of-the-Year
