Pirates Minor League Report: Termarr Johnson Homers Again

2022 Pirates first round pick Termarr Johnson takes a swing.

Pirates’ affiliates suffered a rough night at the office on Saturday, dropping three games and nearly blowing it in the fourth, their lone win. Even with the ugly box scores, Termarr Johnson continued his turnaround at the plate, slugging his ninth homer of the season.

Triple-A Indianapolis lost 8-5 to the Louisville Bats, who knocked Marco Gonzales around toward the end of his second rehab start on the way back from the 60-day Injured List.

Altoona walked off Harrisburg in the tenth inning, closing the book on a back-and-forth 13-12 game with a bang. The Greensboro Grasshoppers imploded in the ninth inning, allowing eight runs on the way to an 11-10 loss against Aberdeen. Despite the deflating result, Termarr Johnson, Nick Cimillo, Mitch Jebb and Hudson Head all homered, while Alessandro Ercolani managed two scoreless innings in his return from the Injured List.

Bradenton, meanwhile, managed just two hits in a 6-1 loss to Fort Myers.
