Pirates Minor League Report: Termarr Johnson Does it All
Pirates’ affiliates picked up two wins on Friday, with 2022 first round pick Termarr Johnson showing his dynamic ability at the plate and on the base paths. Johnson collected a double, 2 singles, 2 walks and a stolen base, scoring two runs himself along with two RBI. Of course, the minor leagues are a learning experience, and Johnson also suffered a fielding error and was caught trying to steal another base.
Triple-A Indianapolis won 6-3 with the help of former Red Sox first round pick Nick Yorke, who reached base four times. Jake Woodford and Domingo Germán, both of whom spent time with the Pirates this season, contributed four and three scoreless innings, respectively.
Altoona shellacked the Richmond Flying Squirrels 10-3, with Anthony Solometo working through five innings on an efficient 79 pitches. The 21-year-old lefty allowed two runs, just one earned, and struck out four batters.
Greensboro saw their season come to an end with a 4-1 loss to Hudson Valley, their bats largely silent apart from two Lonnie White Jr. doubles.
