2022 Pirates’ first round pick Termarr Johnson made his Double-A debut on Tuesday, once again showing his patience at the plate in drawing a pair of walks.

The middle infield came up clutch in Indianapolis’ 4-3 win over the Louisville Bats, with shortstop Liover Peguero doubling and second baseman Nick Yorke reaching base three times. Mike Burrows, a member of MLB Pipeline’s top 30 Pirates prospects, pitched four clean innings, but continued to see a carefully managed workload as he makes his way back from Tommy John surgery.

Shortstop Javier Rivas also got promoted, getting a rough welcome in Greensboro while going 0-for-4 with three strikeouts. The lanky 21-year-old from Venezuela has been an extra base hit machine this season, but hasn’t always done so at a consistent clip.

Third baseman Jhonny Severino hit for the cycle, helping Bradenton to a 7-2 win. 2023 compensatory pick Zander Mueth, meanwhile, put together his best start since joining the Marauders last month, lasting five scoreless innings.
