Pirates’ affiliates split their Sunday slate, with Triple-A Indianapolis falling 6-3 in extra innings and the Altoona Curve capping a disappointing season on a high note, winning 5-1.

Mike Burrows, Pittsburgh’s No. 16 prospect per MLB Pipeline, continues to struggle with efficiency since returning from Tommy John surgery, allowing just one run but leaving the game after 3.2 innings and 75 pitches.

Altoona saw Jase Bowen hit his second homer in as many games, while Endy Rodríguez reached base three times, his best performance since returning to live game action.
