The Pittsburgh Pirates begin a three-game series with the Texas Rangers at PNC Park beginning Monday night at 6:35.

Designated hitter Andrew McCutchen is only one hit away from becoming the 12th Pirates’ player in franchise history to record 1,500 hits with the team.

In other news, despite being in the lineup against Arizona on Sunday afternoon, Rodolfo Castro is again on the bench against a right-handed pitcher.
