Pittsburgh Pirates top prospect Termarr Johnson helped lift the Scottsdale Scorpions to a 7-6 win over the Surprise Saguaros on Friday night in the Arizona Fall League.

Johnson collected two more hits after reaching base three times on Thursday. The 20-year-old finished 2 for 5 with a run scored. Through his first six games of the AFL slate, Johnson now carries an impressive .318/.500/.591 slash with a double, a triple, one home run and three RBIs.

Through 30 plate appearances, Johnson has only struck out three times and has drawn eight walks. His .500 on-base percentage is tied for sixth in the Arizona Fall League.

Kervin Pichardo was the other Pirates’ hitting prospect in the Scorpions’ lineup on Friday. He finished 0 for 3 with a walk and is batting .231 with a .797 OPS.

On the mound, Brandan Bidois provided 1.2 scoreless innings of relief without allowing a hit, issuing one walk and striking out a pair. It was a rough start to the AFL for Bidois, but the right-hander is starting to find a rhythm.

The Scorpions (4-5) and Saguaros (6-4) will meet again on Saturday evening in Goodyear.
