Pirates prospects on the Scottsdale Scorpions played a doubleheader on Tuesday, completing their Sunday, November 3 game suspended due to rain as well as their regular scheduled game against the Glendale Desert Dogs.

Khristian Curtis got the start on Sunday but only made it through one inning before uncharacteristic Arizona rain suspended his outing. He struck out three batters and allowed a hit in that limited action, landing 14 of 19 pitches in the strike zone.

Catcher Geovanny Planchart went 1-for-3 with a single and a run scored, also subbing in as a defensive replacement in the final inning of the nightcap as part of a double switch.

Outfielder Sammy Siani also got work in both games, going 1-for-3 with a single and an RBI in game 1. He then appeared as a pinch runner in game 2, scoring a run in the process and staying in to play left field—the other side of the Planchart double switch.

Kervin Pichardo got a start at shortstop and went 1-for-2 with a walk as the singles party continued, also logging a steal, a run and an RBI.

Last but not least, reliever Valentin Linarez pitched two scoreless innings in the nightcap, striking out one batter and earning his first win of the fall league season for his trouble.

The action continues for Scottsdale at 9:30pm EDT Wednesday when they host the Peoria Javelinas.

Um, game scores, or has the PBC stopped announcing those?
