PITTSBURGH – The Pittsburgh Pirates shuffled their bullpen Saturday by calling up two pitchers from Triple-A Indianapolis.

Left-fielder Angel Perdomo’s contract was selected, and right-hander Yerry De Los Santos was recalled in advance of the Pirates playing the St. Louis Cardinals at PNC Park.

In corresponding moves, right-hander Cody Bolton was optioned to Indianapolis and infielder Chris Owings was designated for assignment.

Perdomo, 29, was 1-1 with one save and a 3.18 ERA in 20 games with Indianapolis, striking out 35 in 22.2 innings. He appeared 22 games with the Milwaukee Brewers in 2020-21, going 1-0 with an 8.24 ERA.

De Los Santos, 25, made 17 appearances for Indianapolis and an 0-4 record, a 5.60 ERA and 19 strikeouts in 17.2 innings. He made his major-league debut with the Pirates last season, pitching in 26 games with an 0-3 record and 4.91 ERA.

Bolton had no record and a 12.38 ERA in five relief appearances over two stints with the Pirates this season. Owings hit .160 in 10 games.
