The Pirates announced Saturday afternoon that 3rd base/infield coach, Joey Cora has been relived of his duties. Cora has been with the Pirates organization since 2016. Cora, after serving as the Altoona Curve manager, was promoted to 3rd base coach in 2017 under former manager Clint Hurdle.

Pundits don’t seem to be too surprised by the move as Cora was the last holdover from the old regime. Furthermore, In 2021, the Pirates were thrown out at home 19 times which sits right at the top of the NL standings (not in the good way).
The search for a replacement has now begun and the remnants of Neal Huntington have been purged from the major league club for good.
