Dessert is a sweet tweet served after dinner. Desert is a vast area of arid land covered primarily by sand.

Which brings us to Pirates manager Derek Shelton’s final meeting with the media of the 2022 season.

The remarks came following the Pirates’ 5-3 season-ending victory last Wednesday over the St. Louis Cardinals at PNC Park. It was a nice way for the Pirates to end another terrible season, so the third-year manager was understandably upbeat.
