PBN Around the Horn: The Dreaded ‘S Word’ For the Pirates

After two strong starts in Miami, the Pittsburgh Pirates (56-92) will try and sweep—yes, sweep, the s-word we couldn’t say in the title—the Miami Marlins (62-86). If the Pirates get the win, they will earn their first series sweep this season. Max Kranick (7.66 ERA) will try and secure the victory for the Pirates as he goes against Sandy Alcantara (3.10 ERA). First pitch is set for 1:10 p.m.

UPDATE (12:17 p.m.) The money line has severely changed and we have an O/U. The Pirates are now +205 underdogs and the O/U is 7 runs.

UPDATE (11:46 a.m.) The Pirates have won four consecutive series, according to Joe Block the Pirates haven’t done that since their 11-game winning streak in 2018.
