PBN Around the Horn: Can the Pirates get to Kyle Hendricks?

After a failed comeback, the Pittsburgh Pirates (48-87) will play Saturday afternoon baseball against the Chicago Cubs (61-75) at Wrigley Field. The Pirates have yet to name their starter, but they will face Kyle Hendricks (4.43 ERA). First pitch is 2:10 p.m.

UPDATE (1:46 p.m.)- The money line has moved significantly in favor of the Cubs after the lineup has been posted. The Pirates are now +143 underdogs. O/U remains at 8.5 runs.

UPDATE (1:20 p.m.)- Former Pirate, Gregory Polanco has been spotted in the Buffalo Bison’s lineup on Friday. Buffalo is the Triple-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays.

 

UPDATE (12:45 p.m.) Pirates and Cubs are now -110 for the money line. O/U is at 8.5 runs for now.

UPDATE (12:20 p.m.) JT Brubaker (5.27 ERA)  has been named the starter this afternoon.

UPDATE (10:41 a.m.) Pirates prospect Diego Castillo launched his first Triple-A home run last night.

UPDATE (10:05 a.m.)- The 2022 MLB Draft race continues. Baltimore, Arizona, Texas, and Pittsburgh all lost yesterday and our Pirates remain at the 4th pick and are a half a game behind Texas for 3rd. The Pirates remain 6.0 games back of Baltimore for 1st, and 3.5 games back of Arizona for 2nd.
