Everything is official now; The Pittsburgh Pirates have called up infielder Oneil Cruz from Triple-A Indianapolis. In order to make room for the tallest shortstop in MLB history, the Pirates have placed, Tanner Anderson on the 10-Day injured list with a right-foot contusion.

Cruz has been on fire in Triple-A Indy; in six games with the Indians, Cruz has blasted five home runs, drove in seven, and walked eight times. Cruz being a lefty, has a big shot at hitting a lot of balls over the Clemente Wall.

Anderson for the Pirates pitched in one game where he pitched 5.0 innings and gave up five hits and two earned runs. This IL stint effectively ends Anderson’s season.
