Non-Tender Free Agents for Pirates to Consider (+)

If bargain hunting was the name of the game, the Pittsburgh Pirates would be in the Hall of Fame.

Fortunately for the Pirates, a new wave of cost-affordable free agents hit the open market after the non-tender deadline passed on Friday night.

The Pirates, for example, did not tender contracts to three players: Connor Joe, Bryan De La Cruz and Hunter Stratton, though the club is working to bring back the latter on a new deal.

Players who got non-tendered are eligible to sign with teams right away, and there are several new free agents the Pirates could — and should — consider signing.
