JT Brubaker Exits Game With Right Lat Discomfort

Pittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher JT Brubaker exited Thursday’s game against the New York Mets with right lat discomfort. His current status is day-to-day.

Brubaker was taken out of the game after three innings and 71 pitches. It was a rough outing for the right-hander, who allowed five runs on seven hits.

Brubaker has already pitched a career-high 141.1 innings on the season for Pittsburgh.

It is yet to be determined if Brubaker will land on the injured list or not, but Brubaker had a season-ending injury last September. It was right shoulder inflammation ended Brubaker’s 2021 season.

This season for the Pirates, Brubaker is 3-11 with a 4.58 ERA and leads the club with 145 strikeouts.
