Former Pirate Manager Clint Hurdle Signs With Colorado as Assistant Gm
According to Nick Groke of The Athletic, former Colorado and Pittsburgh manager Clint Hurdle has agreed to come back to Colorado as an assistant general manager. According to Groke, this has been in the works for months. Hurdle spent nine years( 2011-2019) with our Pirates and, believe it or not, posted a .505 winning percentage (735-720).
Rockies have hired Clint Hurdle as an assistant general manager, the club said. His return has been in the works for months, even before GM Bill Schmidt's hiring. Of the Rockies, he said: "Sometimes you don't know how close you are." https://t.co/2Q1zG0AIWw

Hurdle wasn’t the best of managers, and I think like most, he let his pride get in the way, but he was a good manager for a stretch of time. Now we get to see what kind of eye he has for talent and how the current Rockies rebuild will continue. Could we see the Pirates and Rockies finish their rebuilds simultaneously? Only time will tell.
