Fire Away! Fielding Questions for Weekly Pirates Q&A

Published

on

Tommy Pham, Pittsburgh Pirates

The Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the Washington Nationals 6-1 on Wednesday night in grand fashion.

Oneil Cruz belted his first-career grand slam and Bailey Falter faced the minimum through 7.0 innings to give the Pirates their second win in three games. The Bucs go for the series win on Thursday afternoon.

Entering Thursday’s series finale, the Pirates sit at 7-12 and are a relatively distant last place in the National League Central.

With each passing game, things are starting to come into focus regarding the 2025 Pirates. The pitching has been pretty solid, especially from the bullpen. But the offense has left a lot to be desired despite scoring 16 runs in their last three games.

At this point, it feels like there are more questions that answers, but we will do our best to provide you with responses to whatever is on your mind!

On Monday, Pittsburgh Baseball Now will be releasing our weekly Pirates Q&A for our readers.
