Fire Away! Fielding Questions for Weekly PBN+ Pirates Q&A

It’s been an interesting homestand for the Pittsburgh Pirates.
The Bucs were swept in three games over the weekend by the Chicago White Sox, who have the worst record in the American League. Pittsburgh then swept the Detroit Tigers, who entered the start of the series on Monday with the best record in baseball.
In addition to everything that happened on the field, the Pirates signed 2025 first-round pick Seth Hernandez and introduced him in a press conference on Tuesday. The Pirates have signed 12 of their 21 picks so far.
Then there’s the trade deadline, which is one week from Thursday. The Bucs already made one trade of note, when they shipped Adam Frazier to the Kansas City Royals. There are going to be plenty more leading up to 6 p.m. ET on July 31.
